The company
What is DigRight?
A site-development and land-solutions practice. DigRight is a trade name of Square One Development Group, LLC. The product is a property problem solved. Excavation is how a lot of the work gets done.
Where do you work?
Small excavation and property work is concentrated around our home market. Larger site-development and build-ready projects are considered throughout DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia.

Drainage and driveways
French drain or regrade?
Whichever the water actually needs. Often the grade is the fix, and a drain is added only if the water still has nowhere to go.
Why do gravel driveways wash out?
No fabric, the wrong stone, no compaction, no crown, and water running down the wheel path. The repair is the section, not another load of stone on top.
Do you pave driveways?
We build the base. A paver installs asphalt.
Land
What is a Land Assessment?
A paid review: county research, a site walk, and a written plan for house site, access, water, septic or sewer, power, and a rough cost to get build-ready. It is not a survey, a perc, or an engineering design.
I bought land. What are the steps?
Read the land, make a way in, solve water and waste, bring power, send stormwater somewhere lawful, and leave a pad that is actually build-ready. The land page has the sequence.
Rules
Do you install septic systems?
No. We excavate for a licensed installer. We don’t design the system.
Will you dig without a utility ticket?
No. Miss Utility or Virginia 811, every time. Private lines still need you to tell us what you know.
